Edna Mae Chittum, beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and great-great grandmother and a pillar of the Coffeyville community for more than 70 years, passed away April 28, five days shy of her 100th birthday. Edna Mae Brookshire was born May 3, 1924, in Agra, Oklahoma, to Denzil and Minnie Mae (McIntosh) Brookshire.

Jimmie (Jim) Rogers, 87, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at his home in Kingsland, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1937, in Welch Ok to Lee Roy and Colene (Haw) Rogers.

Norma Lou Kneedler, 90, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Midland. She was born on January 6, 1934, in Camdenton, Missouri to Presley and Eunice (Looney) Gregory.

Sapp On a hot July afternoon in Coffeyville, Kansas, you would see David Sapp pedaling his bike down the streets, delivering the Coffeyville newspaper to the city's many residents. This was only the beginning of many jobs for David involving a lot of hard work (as well as blood, sweat and tears).

Flaharty On the 29th of November 1935, Drue Wood hitched his best team to the front of his car and towed his laboring wife, V. Ferne (Fiensy), through nearly impassable roads and flooded creeks to the home of his sister, Georgie, where he paid the price of “one fat calf” for the successful birth of his daughter and his pride and joy, Rena Jolene Wood.
